Alison Pill

Pill was first introduced in Canadian productions and did not take long to break into the American market. A few of her appearances were in an episode from the Canadian show Traders with Bruce Gray. Pill scored a spot in CSI: Crime Scene Investigation with Wallace Langham, Liz Vassey, Michael Ensign, Michael G. Hagerty, Naren Shankar. The episode was titled "Would Have, Would, and Shoulda". Directly after her work with Picard, Pill appeared in a major supporting role in the well-loved science fiction miniseries Devs (served by digital the VFX company Double Negative) produced by FX Productions for Hulu, just like her role in Picard as well, she appeared in each episode in the series, performing a similar role as the scientist "Katie". The similarities between these shows did not end in the first episode. Pill was made aware that the main theme of Devs is the preservation of consciousness in artificial creature, which is similar to the work Data was doing in the Picard Season 1 finale "Et in Arcadia Ego Part 2."
